[ Small Basketball ]Travel Team information

Each year AYBA sponsors 9 teams for the Ventura County Youth Basketball League ("VCYBA"). The league consists of teams from Agoura, Conejo Valley, Moorpark, Simi Valley, Moorpark, Camarillo and Ventura. Games are generally played on Saturdays at sites in each of the cities. The league's schedule runs concurrent with the AYBA schedule. Boys from 4th grade through 8th grade are eligible to play in their respective division, while girls in 5th grade through 8th grade are similarly eligible. A player must register for AYBA to be eligible to tryout and may not play in the AYBA league if selected for the team. Travel Teams will be selected by October 15th in order to allow time for those players not selected to be placed on an AYBA team.

Currently, we are accepting applications for coaches. Our immediate need is for new coaches are needed in Boys 4th grade, Girls 5th grade and Boys 6th grade. We will also accept applications for coaches in the other divisions. If you wish to be considered for a coaching position, please complete an application at the Travel Team table at signups on September 14th and 22nd.

There are restrictions for player eligibility. Agoura players must live in the Agoura HS, Oak Park HS or Calabasas HS school districts. Attendance at any of these schools is not mandatory, but a player must reside within the district. Please be sure to check the Travel Team Tryout box on the AYBA application so the coach can contact prospective players concerning tryouts.

A Travel Team representative will be present at the signups to answer your questions. If you have any questions that can't wait until sign-ups, please email our Director of Travel Teams, Mark Brutto mbr1010@aol.com
